Terms of Service

By accessing or using Rambl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including users of free and paid plans.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rambl. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

Rambl is an essay-to-audio conversion service. We transform written content (text you provide or URLs you submit) into spoken audio using text-to-speech technology.

Plans and Billing: Rambl currently uses a minute-based model with free and paid plans (including Starter, Pro, and Power) plus optional one-time minute packs. Current plan details and pricing are listed on our Pricing page and may change over time.

Model Providers: We may use multiple third-party model providers for text and audio processing, and we may change providers over time.

Audio Delivery: Generated audio is made available through your account for playback and download. Output formats and delivery details may change as the service evolves.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before making significant changes that affect paid subscribers.

When using Rambl, you agree not to:

• Submit copyrighted content without permission: Only convert content you own or have the right to use. Don't convert entire books, paid articles, or other copyrighted material without authorization.
• Create harmful or illegal content: Don't use Rambl to generate audio that promotes violence, harassment, hate speech, or illegal activities.
• Abuse the service: Don't attempt to circumvent usage limits, exploit bugs, or overload our systems.
• Impersonate others: Don't create audio that falsely represents someone else's voice or identity for deceptive purposes.
• Commercial misuse: Free tier is for personal use. Commercial use requires a paid subscription or enterprise agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, with or without notice.

Your Content: You retain all rights to the text you submit. We don't claim ownership of your content. By using Rambl, you grant us a limited license to process your text solely for the purpose of generating audio.

Generated Audio: The audio files we generate from your content are yours to keep and use, subject to these Terms. You may use the audio for personal listening. Commercial distribution of generated audio requires appropriate rights to the underlying content.

Our Service: The Rambl name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

DMCA/Takedowns: If you believe content on Rambl infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@getrambl.com with details of the alleged infringement.

Service Provided "As Is": Rambl is provided without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect audio quality, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $50 for free users).

Exclusions: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

Your Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to convert content you submit. We are not liable for copyright claims arising from content you upload.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes:

• We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• For paid subscribers, we'll send an email notice at least 30 days before changes take effect
• Continued use of Rambl after changes means you accept the updated Terms

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account before the new Terms take effect.
